Main Content Inline

Based on the seminal 1960s novel by Ken Kesey, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest left an indelible mark on the literature, theater, and film of our time. The Keegan Theatre’s production of Cuckoo's Nest also left a mark – on the Irish audiences who relished the production when it toured Ireland last fall.

“Thanks to fine performances, this well-known play is given new life in this strong production… feisty and rebellious, touching and sensitive…”
–The Irish Examiner

“This Keegan Theatre production makes us forget about the 1975 film …Mark A. Rhea’s McMurphy is subtle and credible… the other performances are equally good…”
–The Irish Times

“Mark A. Rhea is a convincing McMurphy, a funny, inventive character whose humanity shines through his cheating nature, and Sheri S. Herren is a fine, contrasting Nurse Ratched”
-The Irish Echo

DON'T MISS this unforgettable story of a mental ward and its inhabitants, especially the tyrannical Big Nurse Ratched and Randle Patrick McMurphy, the brawling, fun-loving new inmate who resolves to oppose her.
